How to view RTF files on iPad

I understand that I can't open RTF files on my iPad, is there a way to batch convert the RTF files on my iMac then transfer them for viewing on my iPad?

You can email them for one way to transfer them - You can read them - as -is as mail attachments. Here are the out of the box file formats that can be viewed from mail.

Viewable document types: .jpg, .tiff, .gif (images); .doc and .docx (Microsoft Word); .htm and .html (web pages); .key (Keynote); .numbers (Numbers); .pages (Pages); .pdf (Preview and Adobe Acrobat); .ppt and .pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint); .txt (text); .rtf (rich text format); .vcf (contact information); .xls and .xlsx (Microsoft Excel)

If you want to save and edit them, you need a compatible app like Pages or Documents to Go. There are plenty of other available in the app store.
